Dr. Michael L. Brown is
founder and president of ICN Ministries, which is devoted
to taking the message of repentance and revival to Israel,
the Church, and the Nations. He met the Lord in 1971 as
a sixteen year-old, heroin-shooting, LSD-using Jewish rock
drummer. Since then, he has preached around the world, written
more than fifteen books, some of which have been translated
into more than a dozen languages, and lectured at leading
seminaries. He is committed to helping raise up a holy army
of consecrated believers who will spark a spiritual, moral,
and cultural revolution in the land.
As a leader in the Brownsville Revival from 1996-2000, he
helped birth the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry,
serving as its first president. In January 2001 he and his
team birthed the FIRE School of Ministry (FSM), where he
continues to serve as its president and as a full-time faculty
member. (FSM is now based in Concord, North Carolina.) At
present, graduates of the school are now bearing fruit for
the Lord throughout America and in more than twenty-five
nations.
Dr. Brown also heads up the FIRE leadership
team (FIRE is the acronym for the Fellowship for International
Revival and Evangelism), which gives oversight to FIRE Church,
the community base of the movement, FIRE International,
the school's missions sending agency, as well as FSM.
As a Jewish believer in Jesus, he is active
in Jewish evangelism, debating rabbis on radio, TV, and
college campuses, as well as teaching the Church about God's
eternal purposes for Israel and the Jewish people. He is
also a published Old Testament and Semitic scholar, holding
a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Literatures from New
York University. He has served as a Visiting Professor of
Jewish Apologetics at Fuller Theological Seminary School
of World Mission and as a Visiting Professor of Old Testament
at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
